About The Trust
Originally established in 1876, Saracens are London’s premier rugby club. Saracens compete in the Premiership, the European Champions Cup and the Premiership Women’s Rugby. Saracens is one of world rugby’s most respected, renowned and recognisable teams.
Over the last decade the men’s team have won six Premiership titles as well as three European Championship Cup trophies to confirm their place at the top of English rugby. Saracens Women have followed suit, winning the Premiership in two of the last three completed seasons. Both teams feature a host of players who represent their countries.
Saracens opened a new stadium in 2013 after moving around for 137 years. The club owners wanted to establish an educational legacy to develop their roots in their new community. This led to Saracens Multi Academy Trust being founded in 2017. Saracens High School, a brand new school, opened in 2018. Saracens Bell Lane joined the Trust in 2024. Saracens Broadfields joined the Trust in 2025. The Trust now educates over 2,200 young people.
World Cup winner, Richard Hill, the Saracens, England and British and Irish Lions legend said:
“Saracens made a distinct decision that they wanted to support the local community. The opportunity to support the local community so that these children are growing up with a great education, challenging the young people to strive to be ambitious, trying to make the most of everything that’s given to them.”
After a visit to Saracens High School, he commented:
“The kind kids who showed me around were amazing – incredibly enthusiastic not only about each of the subjects but also their staff members, they clearly have a strong relationship with them.”
Captain of Saracens, England and the British and Irish Lions, Maro Itoje confirmed:
“The four Saracens values are foundational to what we do as a rugby club and to see it translated to the foundation of what the school does; you know all of those four values have an important role in all of the children’s lives. Each one of those pupils hold those values dear to their heart. To see them adopt it, to see them live it, it was amazing.”

- Placing as much emphasis on character education and enrichment as on academic attainment, so that pupils are prepared for life beyond school.
- Creating a quality of life for staff and pupils that is both enjoyable and impactful, to make memories that they take pride in and cherish for the rest of their lives.
- Utilising the networks of the broader Saracens family to strengthen our school communities.
