Why Work at Saracens Multi-Academy Trust?
Making a Difference
We are privileged to educate over 2200 children and young people across the London borough of Barnet, in the north west of our capital city, with all the opportunity that brings. Our pupils come from a diverse range of backgrounds; EAL, SEND and Pupil Premium numbers are well above national averages. The outcomes they achieve, and our aspirations for them, are even higher.
We are highly ambitious for every pupil; for their outcomes and the positive impact they will have on the world around them.

Choosing a career with Saracens Multi-Academy Trust means joining an inclusive community dedicated to:
- Academic rigour
- Character development
- Social mobility
This is to achieve our vision of enriching lives by developing lifelong learners who will thrive in life beyond school.
A Local Family of Schools
Saracens Multi-Academy Trust schools are located within a 3-mile radius of one another in the London Borough of Barnet. This proximity allows our staff to move easily between sites, share physical resources, and collaborate in person.

- Collaborative Learning: We actively share best practices, learning from successful teaching methods and strategies implemented across our schools to promote continuous improvement.
- Enhanced Career Pathways: Teachers and leaders have access to wider professional development opportunities and regular reviews that drive growth.
- Centralised Support Systems: Our schools benefit from support and guidance in HR, Finance, IT and Marketing, allowing educators to focus on teaching.
- A Culture of Innovation: We are a relatively young Trust that remains open to fresh ideas and suggestions from staff at all levels.
Saracens Family
We are the only schools in the UK linked to a professional sports club.
Originally established in 1876, Saracens are London’s premier rugby club. Over the last decade the men’s team have won six Premiership titles as well as three European Championship Cup trophies to confirm their place at the top of English rugby. Saracens Women have followed suit, winning the Premiership in two of the last three completed seasons. Both teams feature a host of players who represent their countries.
You don’t need to be a rugby fan to work with us, but you need to see that this expectation of excellence is part of our identity.

We enjoy many benefits thanks to our close relationship with Saracens:
- Work experience
- Mentoring
- Use of Saracens incredible facilities
- Inclusion in events organised by Saracens’ charitable arm, the Saracens Foundation
- Free and discounted tickets to professional matches
- An enormous sense of pride and identity
Staff Wellbeing
We believe that to give our best to our pupils, our staff must be supported and valued.

- Work-Life Balance: Teaching hours are kept intentionally low—among the lowest in the area—to protect wellbeing and reduce the need for work at home.
- Family-First Culture: We are unique in offering up to two ‘family days’ per year, allowing staff to attend significant personal events like weddings, school assemblies, or medical appointments.
- Free Counselling: Staff are given access to free counselling with our experienced professional counsellor.
Professional Development
We are committed to continuous improvement and offer a generous CPD budget.

- Professional Development: Benefit from annual professional aspirations conversations and extensive training opportunities.
- Career Entry: Our highly successful ECT training programme has seen over half of our current staff start their careers with us.
- Collaborative Innovation: As a relatively young Trust, we are open to fresh ideas and share best practices across all member schools.
Location and Transport
Our schools are located in north London, within easy reach of each other and major transport hubs. Each school is also highly accessible for staff commuting from within London or the Home Counties with easy access to the M1, A1 and A41.
We also offer the following:
- Secure on-site parking
- EV charging bays at Saracens High School and Saracens Broadfields
- Bike racks and inclusion in the Cycle To Work scheme
The Future
Saracens MAT has the ambition to grow to 8 to 10 schools in the local area, sharing our common values of Discipline, Hard Work, Honesty and Humility and a commitment to an equal emphasis on academic and character education. Our schools will not be identical – because they must serve their local communities and we know that those communities are very different – even if only a few miles apart. What the schools share is a common ethos and a culture of relentless positivity, professionalism and fun.

Captain of Saracens, England and the British and Irish Lions, Maro Itoje, confirmed:
“The four Saracens values are foundational to what we do as a rugby club and to see it translated to the foundation of what the school does; you know all of those four values have an important role in all of the children’s lives. Each one of those pupils hold those values dear to their heart. To see them adopt it, to see them live it, it was amazing.”
Opportunities like this do not come along very often. Get in touch if you would like to be part of our success story.
